The Truro Centurion Swim Club (TCSC) is a competitive swim club that prioritizes its athletes and is driven by dedicated coaches. Supported by a Board of Directors and engaged parent volunteers, TCSC is committed to providing a positive experience for its athletes. To maintain this high standard, we have implemented a mandatory volunteer requirement policy. With nearly 50 years of success, the Centurions club owes much of its longevity to the active involvement and enthusiasm of our swimmers and their families.

Point Requirements

Swimmers will be assigned a volunteer point requirement, based on squad placement. Families with more than one swimmer will be required to accumulate the volunteer point requirement of their swimmer at the highest level.

Points must be accumulated from the first day of the season until the final day.

  • To be eligible, all outstanding accounts, including unearned volunteer points, must be settled.
  • We encourage families to earn points by participating in at least one TCSC-hosted swim meet during the season. This helps ensure our meets run smoothly for athletes, coaches, and officials.
  • Points are valued at $50 each. If the volunteer requirement is not fulfilled, families will be billed for the outstanding points (refer to the points chart for specific examples).
  • Families may choose to pay their full Volunteer Fee in cash. For instance, if a swimmer needs to earn 8 points (totaling $400), the family can opt to pay the $400 instead of earning the points.
  • For swimmers who join mid-season, point requirements will be prorated according to the membership dues proration.

Earned volunteer credits that do not appear in your account must be brought to the attention of the Chief of Officials within 14 days of earning. Swim families are responsible for providing documentation of their volunteer work.
